How often do you use your laptop or desktop PC? In the recent news, a spate of scams in which multiple criminals are using technology to take over victims' potentially vulnerable victims' computers has now been officially reported by an anti-fraud group.
The Financial Fraud Action, which is a body that is set up by the financial services industry mentioned that fraudsters were "impersonating" big companies to steal money, certainly far from ideal. This means that money would be taken from the victim's account via accessing your computer, the fraudsters would claim to be fixing a slow internet connection, this would trick firms into allowing funds to be transferred. The loan calculator on simple finance can provide secure loans if you have lost money and need quick access to some cash after such an incident. We also found at simple finance that some claim to event be calling as a recent result of high-profile data breaches, we know that this is not right.
The loan calculator advice is to never let someone have access to your computer remotely especially if they have approached and contacted you through an unsolicited phone call. If you are in doubt you should call the organisation back on a number that you trust, if they are then a legitimate company they will understand the loan calculator needs.
Simple finance found that whilst claiming to be "working" on the internet fault, they, the fraudster then claims that the victim is entitled to compensation and goes through to asking them to log into their bank account, this is where the transaction takes place. They will then put a fake screen onto your computer claiming that the money has arrived whilst working in the background they have complete access to your loan calculator bank account and can take your money.
The recent news is that big businesses such as Talk Talk, Sony and Carphone Warehouse have been compromised, no other news on other businesses as of yet. But be sure to stay checking the simple finance blog as more content is released on a regular basis regarding the loan calculator, finance news and other money issues.
